I’m excited to see books that I got from the library meant for me but being hijacked by my grade 3. Who wouldn’t love books written by Veera Hiranandani? So far, I know Amil and the After follows a young boy, Amil, as he navigates life in newly independent India, dealing with the challenges of identity, family, and resilience after the partition. It promises to be a heartfelt and thought-provoking read! I’m looking forward to reading it once he’s done with it, and then we can discuss it together!
