We read the book "Facts Vs Opinions Vs Robots" by Michael Rex. Grade 2s now understand the difference between a fact and an opinion. They watched videos about oceans and read non-fiction books about marine life.
Then they practiced recording a fact and an opinion about marine life in order to better understand the difference. Discerning a fact from an opinion is an invaluable skill in today's world.
