Stories That Inspire Change
This week, we delved into two powerful books—Seeker of Truth and We Want to Go to School!—that highlight the resilience of individuals fighting for children’s rights.
Kailash Satyarthi’s Fight to End Child Labor in Seeker of Truth sparked deep conversations about the power of standing up for justice, the importance of education, and the sacrifices made to protect vulnerable children. We reflected on how one person’s determination can ignite a global movement.
Meanwhile, We Want to Go to School! opened our eyes to the struggles children with disabilities faced when fighting for their right to an education. My students shared their thoughts on what inclusion truly means and how we can advocate for a world where every child has access to learning opportunities.
Through these discussions, I was reminded that stories are more than just words on a page—they shape perspectives, build empathy, and inspire action. Seeing my students engage with these stories gives me hope that the next generation will continue to push for a more just and equitable world.
