Tree, Table, Book

Lois Lowry, a recipient of the Newbery award has crafted a story that will captivate both adults and children even more so for adults. I wholeheartedly recommend this book. Who could have imagined that three ordinary words could unveil such a tale of a woman’s journey?

This book really resonates with me! Its heartwarming to witness Sophies growth and her realisation that whats best for others may not always align with whats best for oneself. The bond between Sophie and elder Sophie is truly. Seeing them navigate through the challenges of dementia is truly moving. Sophia, an eleven year girl struggles to come to terms with the fact that her dear friend Sophie, who is eighty eight years old is displaying signs of dementia. Determined to assist Sophie in passing her test Sophia delves into Sophies past, in Poland.

This heartwarming tale touches on themes of friendship, understanding and cherished memories. A story that resonates with readers of all ages, crafted by a storyteller.

“Tree, Table, Book” serves as a reminder of the lessons we can glean from those around us while they are still present to share their experiences. It emphasizes the importance of connecting with others and learning from their stories. An impactful narrative filled with humor and empathy.

If you have a child who is grappling with the experience of witnessing a loved one in decline this book could provide solace, compassion and insight while also opening up opportunities for meaningful conversations, about these important themes.
